Weekend

Don't we all wish for a five day weekend and a two day week?  I know I certainly do!  I am feeling a bit lazy for not posting anything this week, so here are a few photographs for you to look at.  My apologies for the poor quality of the images, they were taken on my phone.  I went over to an Island with my good friend for the day, and it was absolutely beautiful!  Although it was raining on and off all day, it was still a wonderful experience.  I am more accustomed to rainforests than beaches, so this was a welcomed change.  After returning home from the Island, we went to my friend's grandparents' house for dinner (hence the sudden change of scenery).  I hope you all enjoy the rest of your week, even though it is three days too long! xx.

Overcast Hues

According to the weatherman, we were expecting showers late this afternoon.  So of course, I dress accordingly to the weather forecast.  It turns out that the sun is still beaming strong and it is officially 'late this afternoon' - oh well, at least I was prepared.  If you are anything like me, an overcast day translates to flowing dresses and warm tones to brighten the dull mood.  So today I wore a cream dress, accompanied by a vintage scarf in the colours mustard, off white and light blue.  I also wore tanned boots in the event of puddle splashing or the dreaded spray from traffic.  Hope you're having a lovely day and the weather is as good to you as it was to me!  xx.

Hi all!  I hope this post finds you well.  I am new to Polyvore and have been designing a 'dream outfit', the first of many I assume.  I am about to begin university tomorrow, and I have already fallen into my familiar procrastination routine (oh dear!).  I love the unexpected mix of apricot and green - this is definitely an outfit destined for the evening.  Oh and those beautiful earrings are something I would wear anytime/anywhere.  I'd love to hear your opinions! xx.

After seventeen years, I decided it was time to raise my anchor, set sail, focus my aims on the distant horizon and find my sea legs.

Hi, my name is Lauren and I am clearly new to blogging. I have spent hours upon hours reading others, appreciating their individual beauty, yet I have never had the courage to start one of my own until now. So here I am, jumping into the deep end. I have recently graduated from High School in a town the size of a pea. A pea that I have learnt to love and now sorely miss. I have moved to the city, an unfamiliar place of bright lights, far away from my roots and very good friends. Now, I am living with my older brother, sister and my sister’s fiancé; and it is unusually argument free! I am about to begin university shortly, studying degrees in business and journalism. So here I am, in my little tin bowl, which is of course filled to the brim with dreams.

My vague intentions for this blog will be to write about fashion and things I find cute, interesting or quirky. Not a lot of thought has been put into this so far though, but I believe over thinking things is no way to live. Hopefully, you’ll enjoy the journey as much as I will, and I’d be delighted for you to join me.
